Mason is a dynamic tattoo artist whose style is influenced by the world. He incorporates a combination of the environment, culture and influences from other artist-creatives, globally.
He currently resides in the mountains of Salt Lake City, Utah and frequently visits his second home in Iceland. As he continues his travels, his next goal is to find clients for whom he can do larger, full-scale body concepts. “Small tattoos are great because they show the simplicity in detail. However, I would love to see that image blown up maybe three times its size over a course of time and create striking art that flows with the body,” he explained. Mason’s innate ability to adapt to any style of tattooing is like a second language; it generates a unique connection to the person wearing the art. “In the end we both get to express ourselves.”
KIRA TETER
Tattooing is one of the many loves I carry. I strive to never fall short of providing an experience that leaves no doubt to the truth of that!
Blackwork, sacred geometry, and organic type subjects are my jam! Lines and dots all day. Through this style, I love to help people represent the emotions, memories, and messages they hold closest to their heart.
Watching someone transform through the journey of a masterpiece is indescribable. It’s what I live for! Connecting and sharing with each unique person that I have the honor of working with is really a gift that I am excited to play a part in each and every day!
KELSIE MOWER
I am currently being mentored by Mason Atlas at The Hive SLC as his Tattoo Junior. I have been here since September of 2020 after going through a two month audition process held for the position. I can’t begin to explain how happy I am to be a part of a shop that supports creative freedom and artistic growth. I feel lucky everyday I wake up to be pursuing something I’m so passionate about.
I strive for dynamic narratives and have a style that is often described as delicate or nostalgic in nature. I enjoy connecting with others through my work. Hearing their stories behind the pieces they want from me or pieces they want to create with me is something I really love and feel so honored to be able to share that space with them.
MICHELLE GOODMAN
Art has always been a huge part of Michelle’s life. Even as a child she would sell drawings for .50 cents a pop. As her love of art grew she explored various mediums from crochet to linocut printmaking to watercolor, but her heart soon belonged to pen & ink work until she started oil painting.
During her years at the University of Utah acquiring her Bachelor’s of Fine Art in Drawing & Painting she focused mainly on figure drawings and landscapes. After graduating she travelled around the world playing a rainbow ukulele and becoming a certified yoga instructor.
She has participated in various group shows and currently sells originally designed and DIY screen printed t-shirts on Etsy.
When she’s not taking drawing classes, tattooing in the studio or hiking in the mountains you can find her singing at various establishments around Salt Lake.
DEREK MARTINEZ
With 20+ years of tattooing under his belt, Derek has advanced his craft to the styles he prefers including traditional American, fine-line, black & grey and his signature flourished pen designs.
Living and working in places like California, Texas, and NYC, Derek has used his travels to learn from and work with many talents and is excited to bring that knowledge back to Utah where he grew up.

I believe tattooing is one of the most beautiful art-forms out there as it can be such an incredibly healing experience for so many people. I often tell people that tattooing is my love language because it can incorporate all the love languages into one experience! Making it the most fulfilling career.
I love brining unique ideas to life that have a strong connection to them, whether it be through meaning or capturing a memory, at the same time I just like creating rad pieces! So whether you are just looking to get some cool art or wanting to heal through this beautiful art form I would love to be apart of your journey!
JENNA GARRETT LADYBRIGHT
The name, Lady Bright, was given to her as a muralist with her colorful and playful designs. She has been in the art field for decade and continues to work hard towards her craft on a daily basis.
She has a fascination for Rubber Hose artistry with a heavy influence of American Traditional tattoos. Her style is bold and bright, with a fun and whimsical flair. Lady Bright is constantly thinking outside of the box and how to make her designs unique to each client or project.
She is eager and thrilled to be apart of this creative community and the honor of working with you.
